Zhu Zhu Pets is a 1991-2008 American animated television series produced by Sunbow Productions and Marvel Productions and animated by Toei Animation and AKOM based on the Zhu Zhu Pets toys released by Cepia LLC. It is a TV show released on September 28, 1991 and ended on February 23, 2008.
Plot[]
Meet nine hamsters in the Zhu Zhu Hamster City - Mr. Squiggles, Pipsqueak, Num Nums, Chunk, Patches, Scoodles, Jilly, Nugget and Winkie.
Opening Sequence[]
The opening sequence first begins in the first season premiere was Flirting with the Master.
Season 1, Episodes 1-26 (September 28, 1991-March 21, 1992)[]
It is more crudely animated (looking similar to the animation used within the first season's episodes) than Season 2 onwards, and it was done entirely. It has an old design (similar to Go Go Pets and A Zhu Zhu Pets Special) and a light blue Zhu Zhu Pets logo, along with Seasons 2-9.
Mr. Squiggles (whose his fur is light brown like his early counterpart from A Zhu Zhu Pets Special) skateboards across the orange and blue tunnels. Pipsqueak runs behind him. Num Nums jumps low and looks at them. Chunk eats the blue cupcake and sits near the tree. He sees the hamsters run and skate. Patches gardens in her garden near her spring cottage and sees them. Scoodles marks the map and sees them. Jilly cheers and jumps up. Nugget greets two butterflies in the air and sees the hamsters. And Winkie joins the main hamsters, and Mr. Squiggles jumps under the "Zhu Zhu Pets" logo, which is light blue and animated more than 3D.
Seasons 2-9, Episodes 1-26 (September 12, 1992-March 25, 2000)[]
The sequence once again opens with clouds (which is directly ripped from the Season One intro). It has the same old design and light blue Zhu Zhu Pets logo, along with Seasons 1 and 3-9.
Mr. Squiggles (whose his fur is dark orange instead of light brown onwards) skateboards across the green tunnels instead of orange and blue. Pipsqueak runs behind him. Num Nums sniffs flowers and looks at them. Chunk eats the blue cupcake with the fork and sits near the tree. He sees the hamsters run and skate. Patches gardens in her garden near her spring cottage and sees them. Scoodles marks the map and sees them. Jilly cheers and jumps up. Nugget tries to catch two butterflies in the air with the butterfly net and sees the hamsters. And Winkie joins the main hamsters, and Mr. Squiggles jumps under the "Zhu Zhu Pets" logo, which is light blue and animated more than 3D.
Season 10, Episodes 1-26, Seasons 10-15 (September 2, 2000-March 12, 2005)[]
This new HD sequence opens once again with the new design onwards. It has the new design and sky blue Zhu Zhu Pets logo, along with Seasons 10-15. The 3D sky blue Zhu Zhu Pets logo is animated, but this stopped since Season 11.
Mr. Squiggles skateboards across the orange and blue tunnels instead of green like Season 1. Pipsqueak runs behind him. Num Nums picks up flowers and looks at them. Chunk eats the blue cupcake with the fork and sits near the tree. He sees the hamsters run and skate. Patches gardens in her garden near her spring cottage and sees them. Scoodles marks the map and sees them. Jilly cheers and jumps up. Nugget tries to catch eight butterflies instead if two in the air with the butterfly net and sees the hamsters. And Winkie joins the main hamsters so hamsters, rockstars (not including Pax and Kingston) and wild bunch (not including Zu Zu and Jelly), and Mr. Squiggles jumps under the "Zhu Zhu Pets" logo, which is sky blue and 3D.
Season 15, Episodes 1-26, Seasons 15-17 (September 3, 2005-February 23, 2008)[]
This new HD sequence opens once again with the same new design. It has the same new design and a redesigned Zhu Zhu Pets logo (2005-2011, along with Zhu Zhu Pets Tales, a 2008 TV series), along with Seasons 15-17.
And Winkie joins the main hamsters so hamsters (Shamrock, Justice and Luigi are added), rockstars (Pax and Kingston are added) and wild bunch (Zu Zu and Jelly are added), and Mr. Squiggles jumps under the "Zhu Zhu Pets" logo, which is sky blue, 3D and redesigned.
